Top 10 PlayStation 5 Games

Top 10 PlayStation 5 Games
10. Deathloop
You control an assassin called Colt, who is stuck in a time loop on an island where he must find and kill eight high priority targets. If he can’t kill them all before midnight or he dies trying, the loop restarts. Deathloop just feels so cool to play - awesome weapons, unique powers, and a clever gameplay loop that means the more time spent on it, the more powerful you feel as you piece together and execute your strategies.
9. Devil May Cry 5 Special Edition
In Devil May Cry 5, you control one of three playable characters as they cut a swathe through dozens of demons. The focus is on stylish action - slick combos, garish special attacks and giving yourself a god complex smashing through hordes of nameless baddies. If you needed any more convincing, the Special Edition also includes not just the expected visual upgrades, but the addition of an entirely new character, Vergil, to the playable roster.
8. Death Stranding Director's Cut
Even Death Stranding’s most dedicated fans will agree it can be both breathtaking and boring - cleverly using protagonist Sam’s monotonous isolation to tell a deep and gripping story in a ravaged United States. The Director’s cut’s improvements to the already stunning visuals of the game and support for 3D audio make the experience more immersive than ever - and an essential purchase for your PS5 library.
7. Control: Ultimate Edition
As Jesse Faden, a woman with unique psychokinetic powers, it’s up to you to investigate the paranormal force that’s holding a secret government agency hostage. Jesse’s powers feel (and sound) fantastic to use, and The Bureau is a fascinating location to explore, ever twisting and evolving. We’ll steer clear of spoilers and simply say the story is fantastic, and the graphics look all the more stunning on this PS5 edition.
6. Marvel’s Spider-Man: Miles Morales
Spider-Man: Miles Morales doesn’t try to reinvent the wheel, and follows closely in the footsteps of its predecessor, 2018’s Marvel’s Spider-Man. Think tight combat, fun puzzles and an incredible cast performance. Notable upgrades for the PS5 edition of this game include the vastly improved load times and the fact they managed to make this game’s graphics even more gorgeous. Prepare to spend a lot of time in photo mode between web-swinging.
5. Final Fantasy VII Remake Intergrade
Final Fantasy VII Remake was a total ground-up reimagining of one of the most iconic Final Fantasy instalments of all time. The game completely overhauls combat, visuals and story to offer something that will please fans of the original but is a fantastic game to newcomers too. While we wait for Part 2, Intergrade gives FF7R new story content, additional final ending scenes, improved load times, photo mode and a bunch of visual upgrades.
4. Ghost of Tsushima: Director's Cut
Ghost of Tsushima is undeniably one of the most beautiful games produced in recent memory - perhaps of all time. In this game you control samurai Jin Sakai as he protects Tsushima Island from the first Mongol invasion of Japan. The Director’s Cut on PS5 includes the Iki Island expansion pack, full Japanese language lip sync, 3D audio support and many more features that enhance the beauty and the immersion of this unmissable game.
3. Returnal
Punishing, haunting and impossible to put down. In Returnal you play as Selene, a pilot caught in a time loop on a hostile planet. Forced to face the dangers of this planet, again and again, you slowly discover the secrets of the planet you’re imprisoned on. Returnal is by far one of the best games on the PS5 right now. Made for this console from the ground up, the game truly feels next-gen.
2. Demon’s Souls
Demon’s Souls is a large-scale remaster of the first in the ‘Souls’ series, FromSoftware’s critically acclaimed medieval torture simulators. Well not really - but these legendary action RPG games are notoriously difficult, which is part of why they’re so popular. You’ll die a lot, but improving your skills and coming back for more creates a reward loop quite unlike any other. The perfect buy for any hardcore gamer who gets their hands on a PS5.
1. Ratchet and Clank: Rift Apart
This adventure game is truly a peek into the future of the new console generation. You play as Ratchet and Rivet, two cat-like gun-toting tool-swinging robot-toting aliens fighting to stop their dimensions from falling apart. Hopping between completely different worlds with zero load times really shows off what the next console generation is capable of, and the game’s tight focus, entertaining characters and stunning visuals make this one of the best next-generation experiences available today.
