In an article "Money: Hot Tips Making Cash from Recycling" the London Evening Standard recommends CeX. The article states "Three out of four households admit to hoarding broken or unwanted electrical items....Why not recycle these responsibly... you can even turn them into hard cash." They go on to say "the CeX High Street chain buys computers, laptops, LCD TVs and (digital) cameras."
BBC TV 's daily personal finance show chose to interview CeX about buying and selling second-hand technology. The feature touched on the lively market for second hand technology. The conclusions were that most folk don't need cutting edge PCs and that old gadgets could be worth hundreds of pounds at CeX.
The Gadget Show choose CeX to sell an iPod and games console for cash. "CeX a specialist electronics was set up in 1992 to buy sell and exchange electronics goods. With stores in the UK, US and Spain it's quite an advanced system." CeX mention starts 9 mins 48 seconds into the piece.
Bristol Evening News interviews the store manager after CeX relocates to bigger premises in an article entitled 'Business Booming at CeX.' The article states "CeX has proved such a success that it recently moved from a small, one room shop in Broadmead opposite the entrance to Cabot Circus, to three floors at the former Fopp in Horsefair."
