TOP 10 Xbox One Best Graphics Games

10. Doom Eternal

Armed with a shoulder-mounted flamethrower, a wrist-mounted blade and upgraded guns and abilities, the demonic invasion of Earth will be no match for you. As hordes of blood-thirsty demons come at you from every angle in this hellish horror shooter, the action comes thick and fast - be prepared for a lot of gore as you fire up your chainsaw and become an unstoppable army of one.

9. Hellblade: Senua’s Sacrifice

The hauntingly beautiful Hellblade: Senua’s Sacrifice, a dark journey into psychosis, boasts one of the most stunning visual designs in modern gaming. Unfolding like a visual novel, this linear experience doesn’t bog itself down with an open world, customisation, crafting (etc.) and instead focuses entirely on the storytelling, which is complimented enormously by some of the finest visuals you will find on the Xbox One. Absolutely gorgeous.

8. Battlefield V

Battlefield V brings World War II spectacularly to life thanks to phenomenal visuals. As Battlefield 1 did, V is a sobering and poignant portrayal of war and the stunningly immersive graphics transport you directly onto the titular battlefield, making each moment all the more harrowing. Battlefield V is a stunning example of the FPS genre at its best, with visuals that trump Call of Duty across the board. Remarkable.

7. Shadow of the Tomb Raider

Embark on Lara Croft’s darkest adventure yet in Shadow of the Tomb Raider, with the most unforgiving jungle setting yet. With brutal tombs, complex underwater tunnel systems, deadly puzzles and a hidden city, the game’s visuals have a lot of work to do and pull it off admirably, transporting the player into this immersive environment admirably. The game is utterly stunning to look at and engrossing to play.

6. Star Wars Battlefront II

From the corridors of the Death Star to Jabba’s palace, Star Wars Battlefront II is bursting with familiar settings from the beloved film franchise and thankfully the game brings them to life faithfully with gorgeous graphics. Playing in either third-person or first-person mode, the game feels alive and takes the player to a galaxy far, far away beautifully. Experience your Star Wars fantasy in Battlefront II, you will.

5. Halo 5: Guardians

Halo 5 is a stellar (pun intended) sci-fi adventure with Master Chief – this time sharing the spotlight with newcomer Spartan Jameson Locke. With the campaign best enjoyed in online co-op, there’s still a lot to enjoy thanks to the superb level designs and tense firefights. This is a Halo game though, so you’ll spend most of your time in large-scale online multiplayer combat – and that’s where Halo 5 truly shines.

4. Far Cry 5

Without a doubt the most beautiful title in the Far Cry franchise to date, Far Cry 5 takes place in the fictional Hope County, Montana. Stranded in hostile territory, players have the freedom to tackle the world in any order they choose – and the dynamic region adapts and reacts to your choices. The vibrant rural setting is gorgeous on the Xbox One and boasts some of the console’s finest visuals to date.

3. Assassin's Creed: Odyssey

Assassin’s Creed is one of the most successful franchises in modern gaming, and yet Odyssey – the 21st title overall in the series – is arguably the first to truly play like an RPG. With dialogue options, branching quests and multiple endings, the game feels far more open than previous entries. Phenomenal visuals and an incredibly vast, richly-detailed world make Odyssey feel like a truly special experience, while the option to play as either a male or female character is refreshing in the series.

2. Red Dead Redemption 2

Rockstar’s Wild West masterpiece looks utterly gorgeous on the Xbox One, making the story of Arthur Morgan and the Van der Linde gang all the more engrossing and cinematic. Red Dead Redemption 2 is gaming as an art form, and the graphics here are nothing short of phenomenal. From the gruff character design to the muddy trails, vibrant wilderness and rolling rivers, everything here looks stunning.

1. Forza Horizon 4

With its dynamic season and weather system, Forza Horizon 4 brings the rural roads of Britain to life on home consoles for the first time ever. The unbelievably gorgeous visuals and passionately recreated countryside of Britain make for the Xbox One’s most impressive-looking game to date, with an enormous range of beautiful cars to boot. This is not just the finest driving simulator ever made, but one of the finest games of the generation. A masterpiece.
